FISHING REPORT
Hello friends and fellow fishermen. Ya, I know, it has been a while since I updated. I want to thank all the clients that went out with me earlier in the year. Although I had my best year guiding, I still have to have a real job and I did that late in June.
I also took some time from fishing to get a certification in my line of work. I spent free time before studying and then one long week in Pittsburgh, PA to take my tests. I am happy to say that I passed all my exams and am now a licensed Protective Coatings Inspector.
So, between concentrating on my new job and the testing, I haven't been able to get out fishing. But with things settling down now, I have a report to give. My fishing report will have something to do with the new article in Featured Articles. The time frame is a little late on me getting it on my website, but if you follow the "On Wisconsin Outdoors" publication you would have been forewarned of a great fishing opportunity. It was published on their website for the July/August issue. If you missed there, click on to "Prime Time for Perch" and see what this is all about.
You also now can click on to my sponsors logo on this page for a direct link to their website. Information about my sponsors and why they have products or services that I find very useful can be found on the Sponsor Page.
A couple of weeks ago, I took my own advice and did some perch fishing. It took me a whole 2 hours to catch my limit of 9-11 inch perch. Even the creel surveyor was impressed with my catch. I took out the father of one of my sponsors the next day. While the fish weren't as aggressive as the day before, we still ended up with 26 nice perch before we ran out of bait.
You should be able to get in on the action yet, but time is winding down on this phenomenon. Where to look, how to rig, and what to use for bait is all in the article, the bait is the key. If you miss this chance, there will be another one and that is also in the new article.
With fall approaching, trout fishing is only weeks away from closing. So keep that in mind if you would like to catch some brookies on the ponds. The males are all too colorful at this time of the year. Tight lines until then.
